Off the clock, off the ticket queue. Five trips across five countries, 2022–2025, kept here mostly for myself.
Returning to Southeast Asia was the crown jewel of my travels so far. Bangkok's vibrant street life and ornate temples opened the trip, followed by the island-hopping stretch through Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi. The loop closed back in Malaysia: Putrajaya's administrative grandeur, the turquoise waters of Langkawi, and one more pass through Bukit Bintang.
My first Southeast Asian adventure. In Malaysia, I explored the modern towers of Sunway City and the streets of Kuala Lumpur, then continued to the Philippines, taking in Manila's rich history and Cebu's pristine beaches, before closing the loop back through Bukit Bintang. Also attended WordCamp Asia 2025 Contributor Day during this trip.
Nepal's mountains, post-monsoon. The serene lakes of Pokhara, the vibrant streets of Thamel, and the trekking trail toward Chomrong. Crystal clear Himalayan views the whole way.
The Eastern Himalayas, the pristine valleys of Sikkim and the tea-scented hills of Darjeeling. Clear autumn weather gave perfect sunrise views of Kanchenjunga, with a stop at a Buddhist monastery along the way.
The first trip on this list: discovering the "Abode of Clouds," Meghalaya. Visiting Cherrapunjee during monsoon season meant dramatic waterfalls, living root bridges, and rain-soaked green valleys.
